Place I’ve Entered

Place I’ve Entered

There’s a place I’ve entered, I haven’t since long ago
Manufactured by illusions of the uncontrollable
Framed by my own voice
I come to hear in ways that only come as I speak out
Internally amiss, I’ve let what’s not real become
Letting the fear of a misplaced image have power over me
It’s the same, very same, as to embody the hieroglyphics of a level above my own
Yet the effects of this old, pulls
instead of me having to be the one to push
in the wake of a pitted stomach
I wonder when again
I’ll find myself in this place
