Scattered thoughts about the platform, plexus.earth
plexus.earth makes way for fated penpals, clothed in anonymity
—> on finding people that chose to connect with you…. theres this immediate intimacy and relationship felt when reviewing connections made to your thoughts
—> I found myself sitting in awe of the user who connected with me, feeling as if they wrote something meant for me. this feeling alone was enough to continue noting my thoughts
—> what if recording was anonymous 1st time, but if you cross with them again, or X amount of times, it allows for a follower to follower connection, or their name is revealed
—> names are sacred
—> “user192381823” changes, dissolves, realizes into “Greg Haverford”
—> what if, after connecting with someone and they connect back, you’re allowed to reply with a voice note, or add onto their thought, or pose a question in regard to it, adding to the social and “world-building” element of things
—> Maybe allowed if you select “collaborative thought” toggle on publish
—> Maybe posed as a question? “
—> But does that start to clutter Inbox? allowing user to approach Plexus on their own time and intentions, is also powerful
—> [feature] channels or proposed group connection for when 3+ thoughts all choose to connect with each other
—> In this age of uniformity and clear cut designs at every corner almost to a fault, lack of personality, opnion, and character, I see plexus adding value to the raw and unfiltered side of expression and connection that makes life human
—> relatedly, be.real was a small instance of success in the same vein of thought for visual social media
—> voice is so sacred, so unique and a pure reflection of spirit
—> the more caution and face-to-face like steps needed before names are allowed to be seen, associated with a voice, and given to someone else, the more powerful and realistic they are. timing, fullness of thought, lack of control of others’ thoughts is crucial in preserving meaning of the thought itself. To interrupt or to “take control of someone else’s voice/thought” and choose when and how much of the thought to consume, frames the thought to serve the user rather than a real living, breathing, entity to appreciate.
—> would be funny, when clicking stop on a thought, you hear an automated voice playback “You have cut off user12481295.”
—> In what kind of places do we indulge in streams of audio?
—> coffee shops, book stores, event/gallery spaces, parties, on your commute
—> what if you framed the streams of thoughts as a feed, something you could either indulge with reading, OR by turning off your phone, and listen in to an (eventually) “endless” stream of thoughts related to your own?
—> quick way to save / connect from lock screen possible?
—> would this add to healthy expansion of mind and thought, or lead to an inevitable clouding?
