The Divide

the divide is great between us
the involved, the in-practice, the infiltrated, the in
the observers, the admirers, the seekers, the ___-ers

bouncing off walls in a squash court
rolling in the corner of an old tennis court

I can repeat the same things
sometimes it’s authentic, new, derivative of present feelings and spaces, other times
it seems pointless to have such independent thought
